AND YOUR CANDIDATES ARE...
Here is a list of the candidates and their reason for wanting to serve on the board of directors. The candidates are listed in alphabetical order.
1. Doug Jones - To serve the greater good of our members not a select few. I like that credit unions are member owned and ran.
2. Kathleen LaVergne - To help make decisions for the betterment of my fellow members and our credit union, as a whole.
3. Lanny McILvain - Having lived my entire life in Chambers County and with the last 13 years being self employed, I have witnessed first hand the need for a member oriented consumer and business lender for the citizens of Chambers and surrounding counties. I feel Texas Coastal Community FCU is in a strategic position to facilitate the needs of citizens of all surrounding counties with strong support and guidance from the Board of Directors.
*4. Edward (EC) Moore - To help others financially.
5. David Raiford - To serve my fellow coworkers. I was asked to serve.
*6. Bill Smith - By serving on the board, I can help insure that the members of TCCFCU have a sound, fair, and member friendly financial partner.
7. Charlene Sonnier - To make our Credit Union the best it can be and keep it local.
8. Vernon Sonnier - To protect not only my investments but everyone's.
*9. Kenneth Thibodeaux - I love my Credit Union and want to be able to help it grow and continue to help the Winnie Branch grow to support the main branch.

Voting for the candidates running for the four open positions for the Board of Directors at Texas Coastal Community FCU starts on Monday, February 8, 2010. Voting will continue until February 25, 2010 at 5:00 pm. Voting will be done electronically this year, meaning there will be no voting in person.
The voting process will go as follows...
1. Email your vote to info@tccfcu.org ; make sure to include 4 of the candidate's names and your member number in your email.
2. Members may only vote once and must be 18 years of age or older.
3. If you do not have the means for electronic voting, please call the credit union at 409-842-5233 and request a ballot to be mailed to you. Then return your voting ballot in the envelope provided.
4. Remember all votes must be received by the credit union on or before February 25, 2010.
Results from this year's election will be announced at the Annual Meeting on March 1, 2010. The meeting will be held at the Wingfoot Club, starting at 7:00 pm. There will be door prizes and refreshments. The Annual Meeting is a great way to find out more about your credit union and to get more involved. Mark the date on your calendars and we will see you there!
Holiday Closing
The Credit Union will be closed Monday, February 15, 2010 in observation of President's Day.
We will reopen Tuesday, February 16, 2010.
